Thomas Rhett made sure the first night of his first-ever headlining tour was extra-special for fans. The budding country superstar debuted two new songs live onstage for the crowd on the opening night of his Home Team Tour.

Rhett's first full headlining tour kicked off at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Mich., on Feb. 23, and among the songs in his set was a brand-new song titled "Love Sucks," which gives a very different view of romance than songs like "Die a Happy Man" and "Star of the Show," both of which are odes to his wife Lauren.

“Love sucks, blame it on me / Oh well, maybe I’m crazy,” Rhett sings over horns in the chorus of the new song. “Who cares, I’mma turn up / Because love keeps bringing me down." Check out that performance in the video above.

Rhett played another new song that appears to be called "Craving You," which takes on love from yet another perspective.

“Never had something that I can’t walk away from / Girl, my self-control’s so paralyzed,” he sings. “When it comes to you, no, I ain’t got no patience / There’s something about you that I just can’t fight.” See that performance in the video below.

Kelsea Ballerini, Ryan Hurd and Russell Dickerson join Rhett on the road as the support acts for the Home Team Tour, which is set to visit 30 cities. They joined him onstage on opening night for a group cover of Bruno Mars' current hit, "24K Magic," to close out the show. Thomas Rhett tickets have been going fast so far on his first headlining jaunt, forcing him to add more dates before he even hit the road.

Rhett is balancing life on the road with an especially busy home life right now. He and Lauren recently announced they are not only expecting their first child, they also are adopting another from Africa. They shared via social media reveal that the biological child they are expecting is a girl.
