It seems that every year, Black Friday deals become Thanksgiving day shopping deals. Well this year, there is a list of fifty plus stores that will not be open on Thanksgiving day. I am not a Black Friday shopper, but I respect those who get up extra early to get the good deals after Thanksgiving. What I am not a fan of, is this push in the past couple of years to have shopping deals and stores open on Thanksgiving day. Call me old fashioned, but I feel like that is a sacred day to spend with family.

Well now there is a list of 50 or more stores that refuse to open their doors on Thanksgiving. They include T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Pier 1 Imports, Petco, PetSmart, and Burlington to name a few.

I have nothing against customers getting great deals, but can we please not get up from Thanksgiving dinner to go get a Hatchimal? I know I will be at home enjoying Thanksgiving with my family. Kudos to these stores that allow their employees to do the same.
