This is an editorial comment on a story that just broke this morning regarding a new change of policy on Facebook. I guess they are instituting a new "button" that gives you an alternative to the "LIKE" button. That's a good start, but what would be the all-purpose alternative?

We all know the "like" button. We seem to all go into "like" mode for almost any post that people throw up there. But let's face it - "like" doesn't cut it in many situations.  But then again, DISLIKE doesn't either.  Neither would "AWWWW" or "THAT SUCKS." Wouldn't you have to have all kinds of buttons -almost like EMOJIS? Maybe that's the answer. Facebook emojis! Yea! I think I'll call good old Zuck on the phone and throw my idea into the mix.  Maybe he'll click "LIKE?"

What do YOU think would be the best alternative to the all purpose "thumbs up" icon? Would love to know. Please respond. Then I'll LIKE you more.
