Where did YOU shop this holiday weekend?  We were going to go to the mall, but I didn't feel like bucking the crowds.  "Why not just go to Sam's Club - we can probably find stuff we need right there!"  I had only two things in mind that I needed.  But it really doesn't work out that way, does it?

Talk about randomness? I think my wife, mother and I have a bad case of  "SADD" - Shopping Attention Deficit Disorder.

I was looking for toothbrush heads for my electric toothbrush (I have a dentist appointment this week and trying to make up for lost brushing time)  Dorrie went along for the ride, along with my mom, Roz.  She doesn't have a membership so she too was just browsing.

Here's what we ended up with:

Sam's Club

Can you see the items?  A shirt

potato chips

pair of golf shorts for upcoming tournament

toothbrush heads    (6 - can't buy less -it's Sam's Club)

10 pairs of white sox (see above comment)

,                                             bananas

frozen chicken, frozen fruit

and a 26 inch flatscreen TV!

Gee -which one of these doesn't belong with the others?  And how random can you get? And furthermore, guess who the TV was for?

What makes it a little more embarrassing is pushing the cart out of the store with all these things, because they don't supply bags to hide your purchases.

I just thought the cart looked funny, so before I loaded these non-connected items into the car I thought I would sit there and reflect for a minute how insane we are in America with our shopping habits.  And how lucky we are to be able to afford stuff in the first place.

What's the weirdest combination of things you've bought in one shopping trip?  What's the strangest thing you've purchased on impulse?  Would love to know (mine was the bananas - I ALWAYS think technology first - haha)
