I'm not a parent but I've noticed a ton of mom shaming going around these days. Parents who think that their way is the only way. This woman may be doing that too but at least she's a chiropractor.

Dr. Emily Puente of Bridge Family Chiropractic hears from a lot of moms complaining about the pains for carrying their babies. Apparently what we thought was the right way to hold a baby was the exact reason why your back has been hurting you.

Whenever I pick up my cousin's daughter in her carrier, I hook the handle of it in my elbow or hold it by the handle. That's pretty much common practice, no? Apparently, there's a better way!

Carrying a baby that way only hurts your back, your shoulders, and moves your body completely off-balance. The correct way to carry your baby in a carrier Dr. Puente says to slide your hand through the handle and then hold the bottom of the carrier with your hand. Apparently that completely changes how you use your body and distribute your weight.
