I am a big fan of award shows so I was glued to the TV last night watching the Grammys. There were plenty of great performances last night and plenty that had me hitting the mute button. One that I really enjoyed was the duo known as the Civil WarsThey introduced Taylor Swift's performance and sang for about a minute, I really wish they could have been given some more time.  They won the Grammy for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group as well as Best Folk Album. I think the Folk sound is what keeps them out of the Mainstream, but they are certainly worth listening too.

Joy Williams and John Paul White met at a songwriting session in Nashville in 2008 and have been performing together ever since. I love their harmonies and I love their song "Barton Hallow" which I heard for the first time a few months ago that got me interested in the duo.

If that wasn't good enough for you, they also do an incredible version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".

I can't wait to hear more out of this duo. They are incredilbe songwriters and certainly deserve to be winning Grammys!
