The Capital Region’s Top 5 Public High Schools

Niche has released their 2018 rankings for the best high schools in the Albany area.

So how does Niche.com formulate these rankings? Niche says they are based on '...state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and high school ratings.'

So which schools according to Niche landed in the top 5 in the Capital Region?  Here they are:

• 1. Niskayuna High School
• 2. Bethlehem Central Senior High School
• 3. Shaker High School
• 4. Guilderland High School
• 5. Saratoga Springs High School

All of these schools received an overall grade of A+ or A based on Niche's formula for ranking them. In these types of rankings too these school districts seem to typically rank near the top, especially Niskayuna. In the majority of these Niche polls their schools consistently 'make the grade' and they always live up to their great reputation.
