The Caller Said Mom and Dad Married for 54 Years

We get tons of calls at WGNA-F.M. especially on the Cryin’, Lovin’ or Leavin’ Show. Then there are those that stand out to us. 

Tuesday night, I got a call from a young lady by the name of Judy. 

What made her call special was who it was for, and why. It was for Alan and Francis. They’re celebrating their 54^th anniversary on Wednesday, March 23. This is Judy’s mom and dad. A big congratulations and happy anniversary to them. the song she sent to her folks was "When I Said I Do", by Clint Black, with Lisa Hartman Black.

The thought of anyone being married for 54 years in this day and age is a milestone, in my mind. If you could be with someone for more than 50 years, what would be your secret?
