The 45th CMA Awards Are Tonight & More in Casey’s Taste of Country

The 45^th CMA Awards Show going down tonight.  Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be hosting the big show. Jason Aldean , Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift have the most nominations with a total of five.  The Zac Brown Band and The Band Perry have a total of four nominations, while Kenny Chesney has three.

Here’s what Brad Paisley had to say about the CMA Awards and what winning an award means:.

One person you can count on NOT seeing tonight at the CMAs will be Toby Keith.  Once again, he will skip tonight’s annual award show.  He told the Toronto sun, he is still not satisfied with the voting process.  He feels there are too many politics in Nashville especially when it comes to the voting process.  Toby feels the awards should be voted on by the fans. 

Rumor has it Kenny Chesney could be taking Tim McGraw on the road with him next year.  No confirmation yet from either management teams, but Country Aircheck stated the two will play stadium shows together.  There’s also a chance the two could record a song together.

Dierks Bentley teamed up with country radio and Believe in Heroes, an initiative that’s apart of the Wounded Warrior Project.  Leading up to Veteran’s Day this Friday, Dierks has been hosting pre-show parties for select dates of his 2011 Country & Cold Cans Tour.  The initiative aims to support and honor wounded veterans of war.
