Last week we had a post of the worst places to live in New York.  Johnstown and Gloversville made the list.  I think it's only fair to spread some good news about the Capital Region, too.

So, according to Niche.com, here are the 20 Best Towns in New York.

Click here to see how the list was put together.  There has to be less than 100,000 people living there in order to qualify.  Commute time, education, things to do, housing, jobs, and crimes were all factors used in the methodology.

See if you agree with this list -

1. White Plains, Westchester County
2. Geneseo, Livingston County
3. Glens Falls, Warren County
4. Mount Hope, Orange County
5. East Aurora, Erie County
6. Geneva, Ontario County
7. Penn Yan, Yates County
8. Fredonia, Chautauqua County
9. Oneonta, Otsego County
10. Plattsburgh, Clinton County
11. Cortland, Cortland County
12. Kingston, Ulster County
13. Cheektowaga, Erie County
14. Hudson, Columbia County
15. Crawford, Orange County
16. Batavia, Genesee County
17. Albany, Albany County
18. Coeymans, Albany County
19. Chittenango, Madison County
20. Corning, Steuben County

What do you think?  Is this a fair list?  Congrats to the Capital Region towns who made the list!
