Thank You McDonald’s – I ‘Paid With Lovin’

Early yesterday morning [Valentine’s Day], I had some projects to do.

So on my way, I stopped at the McDonald’s in Crossgates Commons, in Albany, to grab an Egg McMuffin and a coffee. I went in to order my breakfast. When the girl behind the counter rang the order up on the register, her co-worker was next to her and they both said “your order's free”.

Kind of not really believing it, I asked - “what?”. The one girl told the other girl that she had to get me to do something, so she gave me a ‘high five’. I thanked them and I was on my way. Now I know that I didn’t win the lottery, but I have to admit, this was pretty cool. Something like this just makes you smile.

I saw the commercials, read Sean’s story that he did about the promotion, and I never thought that I would have ever actually been part of the promotion. So just before I wrote this story, I wanted to know when this promotion ended. I checked their website and found out that it was on Valentine’s Day.

So a big “thank you” to McDonald’s, especially the store at Crossgates Common’s on Washington Avenue Extension in Albany. In case you were wondering - Yes, “I was lovin’ it”.
