Terrible Train Derailment in Montgomery County

This was quite a bad scene along a very busy section of Route 5.  It actually prompted the Governor to show up.  Montgomery County was the scene of a terrible train wreck

Train Track

According to a story at the TimesUnion.com, two trains clipped each other coming from  opposite directions.  At this writing, we don’t know the reason for it, but the conductor and engineer were injured, and there was a tanker involved, so that caused some worry.  From what we are learning, nothing leaked out, thank goodness although diesel fuel DID spew from the trains themselves.

We will try to keep up with the story.  If anyone has a photo of the wreck, please send it to Richie@wgna.com and I will add it here.  We certainly hope no other injuries come out of this!
