Teen Charged After Livestreaming Fatal Crash (Video)

When I first watched this horrifying video, I didn't want to believe it was real.  Let me re-phrase that; I was hoping it wasn't real.  It turns out, the 18 year old Californian responsible for the deadly crash that killed her sister and injured another, really was livestreaming on Instagram and kept the video going, adding commentary, while her 14 year old sister was dying. It's disgusting.

I was hoping this viral video was designed to be a grisly reminder of the dangers of distracted driving and wasn't actually a real video.  However, Obdulia Sanchez, the teenager responsible for the death of her own sister, was in Merced County Jail on Monday, accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and gross vehicular manslaughter. According to the Washington Post , Sanchez' father and his wife have seen the video and had this to say “What I think is she knows she’s done something wrong. Because she knows, and that’s what I feel. She feels bad for herself, but she killed her own sister.”
