Taylor Swift was recently asked to the prom by Kevin McGuire, an 18-year-old New Jersey guy who’s battling Leukemia. His big sister actually launched a Facebook pageurging Taylor to go to prom with her brother as his date.

However, Taylor wrote back the following:

“Kevin, I’m so sorry but I won’t be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up…would you be my date? Love Taylor.”

.

Kevin has accepted the invite and will be attending the upcoming ACM awards with Taylor. More than 23,000 people “liked” the Facebook page.  The ACM Awards are April 1 in Las Vegas. McGuire’s prom at Sterling High School in Somerdale, N.J. is June 1, which is also his birthday.

What do you think? If you could pick a country music artist to have gone to your prom, who would it have been? I think I’d ask Blake Shelton, prom or no prom!
