your town thursday

Recently the bar has been raised for this little segment that we do on the Sean and Richie show called Your Town Thursday.  Greenville residents sent loads of  information to me, and so many people "liked" and responded to the article that I was flabbergasted.  No pressure here, but I'm just sayin'....

This was an especially fun one to do, because there was SO much participation from the local "peeps".  I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the "background work". We turn our attention to a little town in Greene County for this week's Your Town Thursday. The town, coincidentally, is Greenville!

It's Your Town Thursday, where your little corner of the earth becomes immortalized in song.  Every other week, we'll pick a town and write a theme song for it.  This coming week, it's Bennington, Vermont.

I had some great feedback on this one.  It makes all the difference in the world to have TOO MUCH information.  Thanks in advance to all who contributed to this song..  Ok, here we go..

I didn't want to bother everyone recently.  Too much going on with the election, the weather and all.  But I would love to create a theme song for a local town once again.  I've had a blast so far.  Looking for a nomination, and some fun facts about it too...

Sorry folks, but the brain needs a little recharging, so I am taking this Thursday off from Your Town Thursday, the feature where a song is written about a local small town.  But that doesn't mean I don't want your nominations

Today is Valentine's Day 2012!   It's not too late to get that special someone something that lets them know how much you care.  As a matter of fact, about 80% of men wait until today to get the job done!

Welcome to 2012.  Everybody's got their resolutions to keep.  Mine?  I want to write a theme song for every town, city and hamlet in the Albany area.  I got a good start in 2011, but it's a New Year, and there's still lots of work to be done!

Congratulations, Cambridge!  You now have a song that you can sing along to!  I just wish we had some more pictures of your wonderful town to add to this blog (hint hint).  But be that as it may, let's get on with the song!

I've had a great time sharpening up my jingle writing skills by creating theme songs for small towns.  This will be my last one for the year!  Now all I need is a town and some facts (and photos if you've got them!)

Every town in the Albany area deserves to get some kind of publicity, right?  And what better publicity than to have it's own song?
