The holidays are coming and there's a city in New York State that is one of the best destinations in America to visit this winter.

When we were traveling back from Buffalo on Christmas eve, we were caught in a pretty bad snowstorm that stayed with us across the state. Fortunately, we were able to get home safely but it was a very scary trip. From now on, I will make up two of these survival kits and put one in each of our cars...just in case.

Traveling in the winter months in upstate New York is usually just commuting to work or to the closest mountain to ski. But there is so much more to explore and there is a beautifully breathtaking trip worth a weekend getaway.
