We can't say it's been a long cold winter, but we sure do appreciate the fact that the sun and warm weather is here. Spring has officially arrived!
I heard someone mentioning a big blizzard closing down almost every business and major highway in the Albany area. I thought – blizzard? It’s 60 degrees outside. Then it hit me.
It’s hard to believe that it’s still winter. Spring officially starts on March 22, even though we’re expected to have temperatures in the 60s this week.
As we watch the wet heavy snow pile up there is always a chance power could go in some places.
In our final weeks of winter, we may actually see our first significant snowfall! Not counting a surprising 'fall' snow storm on Oct. 29, this could be the first winter 'storm' of the 2012 season.
Am I the only one that enjoys driving in snow?
Everyone has a ton of snow storm photos in the Albany NY area. We always gets more than our fair share of snow storms (most winters), and we can never see enough great photos of snow. For many of us our morning routine was seriously messed up due to a power outage that took not only the greatest radio station every WGNA-FM off the air but also our sister station WTMM-FM. If you're like me your alarm clock is tuned to one of the two stations and you overslept. That was just the beginning of my fun.
