I wanted to do this just to give credit for all of the people who  responded to my request for photos of the storm this past weekend.   My old neighbor is included in this song. Their tree came dangerously close to both of our houses (mostly his - thank God they're alright!)

If you were listening this morning to the show you may have heard Steve Caporizzo talk to us about his special report tonight at 10 p.m. on NEWS10 ABC on Fox23. Last year at this time, a tornado touched down in Duanesburg and they suffered through a terrible storm, luckily there were no fatalities but there was plenty of damage and scars that still remain.

This looked very serious.  You don't hear this kind of thing happening too often around these parts - a "slide" of dirt and debris in Bethlehem

Bring on the spring!  That's what I say.  I'm sure you won't disagree after this past winter. That sentiment became the incentive for this little project.

This past winter is unlike any other. But in one upstate New York town – it's unlike any winter EVER.  Yes - 21 FEET of snow has amassed in Copenhagen, NY.

This was very difficult.  It started out as a contest for the LONGEST icicle.  It quickly morphed into the most AMAZING icicle photo due to all of the different varieties that I received.  Thanks to all.  But the winner is…. I picked this one for two reasons...

Just when we have finally cleared our driveways and walkways from the last two snow storms, we have to get ready to do it again.

The city of Amsterdam has had some winter weather items placed in various parts of the city.

The current weather isn’t just frigid, but it is also dangerous with the vicious wind chill.  The threat of hypothermia and frostbite is very real. Overnight temperatures will be -6 to -10F with wind chills of -20 to -30F. Thursday temperatures will reach 22F, but not until later in the day...

It's called "Stormscapes," by photographer Nicolaus Wegner.  I guess he is considered  a storm chaser with a camera.   His work is jaw dropping.   Read on!
