WGNA hosted the biggest talent search in the Northeast with 2011's Country Idol Karaoke show at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway. At the finale, 20 finalists were narrowed down to the top five. Those five lucky singers were featured on a special edition of LOOK-TV's music special, TRAX.
Bobby Kendall, a 25 year-old Lake George resident with Nashville dreams, won WGNA's “Country Idol” competition at Saratoga Casino and Raceway on June 16, 2011. In a press release, Kendall announced that he's using the money to go to Music City U.S.A., Nashville, Tennessee!
Chris Young has been on a roll and Country 107.7, WGNA-FM has been one of the biggest supporters of his career since day 1. We had Chris at the Rising Stars Concert Series just before his first #1 hit "Getting You Home (The Black Dress Song)" topped the charts.
The final round of Country Idol Karaoke was held at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway on May 19. The night was filled with awesome voices and Northeast Country hopefuls dreaming of hitting the big stage to win $5,000 and a performance spot on Fox 23's Center For Disability Services Telethon.

It was another big Bud Light Country Night with Vapor, at Saratoga Casino, packed from the dance floor to the balcony. Of those hundreds of fans, just over 100 people registered on-line and in person for the chance to sing on the big stage to qualify for $5,000 and perform on the Center For Disability Services Telethon.
On Thursday, March 24 WGNA and Bud Light hosted the second round of Country Idol Karaoke. Excitement filled Saratoga Casino and Raceway as the best singers in the Northeast competed for $5,000 and one lucky person hit a jackpot for $124,000!
February 17, 2011 marked the first round of Country Idol Karaoke at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Vapor was packed from floor to balcony with Country Music fans and hopeful singers looking for the chance to get on the big stage to grab $5,000.
