I am not offended by a whole lot of the wages earned by many of the workers for New York. But come on, the top-earning one, really?

Every school year teachers in New York state shell out a ton of their own money to make sure every student in their classroom has the supplies they need. Many teachers are unaware that there is a law that was passed that gives teachers a tax break to help them get most of that money back.

The Great Escape has announced that they are having their annual Back To School Days promotion. It gives them a chance to honor and celebrate teachers, staff and faculty and you can all get in free!

Where a school falls is judged by how good the teachers are. We have a lot of high school in the area. Did your Alma Mater make the list?

October 5th is World Teachers Day, and when it comes to the best states for teachers to work, New York is near the top.

According to an article on News 10 ABC's website, a formal Lasalle teacher is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student. The teacher, at the time of the alleged relationship, was 28 and the student was 17. The teacher is also denying the accusations and claims to be a victim of extortion.

This news is now hitting the local news everywhere. I saw it first at News 10 ABC in an article by Anya Tucker. It seems a 38 year old employee of CBA has been accused of sending nude photos to a 16 year old student on Snapchat. Right now there doesn't seem to be any evidence of any actual physical contact between the employee and student but Sara McLaughlin of Loudonville is now facing charges of

There seems to be a teacher in everyone's life who really left a lasting impression them. If you ask them who the best teacher they ever had was they get excited, tell you their name and talk about how they really sparked a love for learning in them...

it's on everyone's mind again as NY Governor Andrew Cuomo passed new legislation to further scrutinize teachers, so I would like to throw my  Common Core anthem into the ring.

All year I've been writing songs with kids.  I've loved every minute of it.  However, I wanted to do something special for the great teachers that I've met along the way, so here' s a little ditty for you folks too!

It's not an easy time for teachers or graduates looking for a career in this most important of professions.  Sometimes you need help, and this is the place to get it!.

If you are a teacher, I  respectfully dedicate this song to you.  Having talked to many of you on my school tour, I realize the incredible pressure you must be under with these new Common Core standards, so I wrote you a little ditty for comic relief.
