taste of country music festival

Heavy rain showers didn't stop country music fans who'd come from all over to see Willie Nelson on Thursday night. Thousands packed Hunter Mountain in New York for the inaugural Taste of Country Music Festival. Ponchos, umbrellas, cold beverages and great country music kept fans in good spirits while the LoCash Cowboys, Parmalee and Nelson took the stage.

We are here, right behind the concession area doing the show.  This is so cool!  I should do time lapse photography here so we can watch the place fill up, and it will!  I did catch the first official spectator with my camera.

I've always LOVED parodying Willie Nelson.  I've always loved that "warble" when he sings.  So I gave it a shot this morning - pretending that he came on the air with us to hype his appearance at the Taste Of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain.  (Are  you going?)  Get those tix!.

We often joke about how young Hunter Hayes is. The 21 year old could possibly steal the show away from the likes of Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins, Billy Currington and Lady Antebellum. Well I found out why. The kids been rocking the stage since he was five years old!

Sean and Richie will be waking you up in 'GNA Country as always this Friday morning from 5:30am-9am. However, they will be doing it live from Hunter Mountain.

Thursday, June 13th it all kicks off at Hunter Mountain. The first of 3 big days of country's biggest stars in concert at the 1st ever taste of Country Music Festival.

Well it's FINALLY upon us, the Taste Of Country Music Festival is starting this Thursday night at Hunter Mountain, N.Y. So whether it's for just one of the days, or camping over for all three, the weather is going to be great.

It's going to be a very busy week around the radio ranch. I want to get writing  very early because we have to go to Hunter Mountain this week for the most exciting music festival this area has ever seen (got your tickets yet?) .
