On Friday, August 17, 2012 nearly 100 people rappelled 18 stories off the Albany Hotel Downtown to raise money for Special Olympics New York. Throughout the day we saw people of all ages and all levels 'face their fears' to help the cause.
On Friday, August 17, 2012 I will go live on location with GNA to help support Special Olympics New York. While I'm on the ground, some other brave people will be a little more daring and actually rappel 18 stories down the State Street side of the Hotel Albany (Crowne Plaza) downtown.
Facing fears and overcoming obstacles was the theme of the day on Friday, September 16 as dozens of people looked over the top of the Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Albany and then crawled down the side of the 18 story building.
It's the most interesting fundraiser I have ever seen! People donate to go "over the edge" of the Crowne Plaza hotel.
If you see people repelling down the Crowne Plaza building in downtown Albany it's all for a good cause - "Over The Edge" and it all benefits Special Olympics New York. If heights aren't your thing there are ways you can participate by sponsoring one of the repelling participants. Check out all the information after the jump including some people on our team here at Townsquare Media in Albany who are repelling.
It's not too late to donate to Casey Danton's Over the Edge experience. Help me raise $1,000 for Special Olympics of New York.
Four weeks ago, I wrote a blog about how I have accepted the challenge of going "Over the Edge" in support of Special Olympics of New York.
About two weeks ago, I accepted the challenge from Special Olympics to participate in "Over the Edge." I blogged about the challenge and what exactly I'm going to have to do. However, I still haven't even gotten close to my goal.
