It is one of the most spirited debates of the summer: who serves the best soft-serve ice cream?

Between soft serve in Troy, defeating my license plate disappointment, and the world's catchiest jingle, I've had quite a first month here in the Capital Region.

Yes, it's true. The iconic Snowman Ice Cream in the Lansingburgh section of Troy has officially been sold. After close to 70 years in business, the most recent owner said it was just time to slow down and spend more time with his family.

Fresh on the heels of National Ice Cream, here are the Capital Region's best, according to you.

I don't know about you, but I'm done with winter.  It's been cold, slushy and rainy and while the weather hasn't been terrible, it's been just annoying enough to make you not really be able to do much.  A recent Instagram post by an iconic ice cream spot in Troy has us thinking about the overall awesomeness of Spring while potentially landing you a cool job.

Marissa and I tried to make a country cowboy snowman the other day in the parking lot when we got a lot of snow at the radio station. It didn't work so well. Turns out the snow was too fluffy and not "good packing" snow. Well... what a difference a couple of days makes...
