Here's yet another Albany, Area town that we pass through so many times, yet know so little about.
Well, I'm going to have to learn about it real quick if I am to put a song together for this Thursday! Please help!!!!!
...And they deserve everything they get. Poestenkill folk are really proud of their town. You can tell by the response that I received. Wow! I could have written 5 songs with all of the information. I love it!!
I've had several requests to write songs about these two towns. I've been to both during my travels on the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour, but I've never actually written a song about the towns themselves. So lets' take an old fashioned vote here in the comment section at the end of this article.
There are some tough people in this little Schoharie County town. They've withstood flooding, high winds and unspeakable losses, but they're still standing! I thought you folks needed a little reprieve, so I wrote you a song (free of charge). That's what we do here!
