small towns

This one was a no-brainer.  Many of the folks who contributed information for this little town mentioned that the "Ring Of Fire" each summers' end on  Sacandaga Lake was something that I just HAD to mention.  So I ask you - what song would YOU use to commemorate this great little place?  Apologies to Johnny Cash, but it was right there - I had to go with it!

You heard me.  They're TOTALLY awesome, and they're going to get a theme song, darn it, and a good one too!   They are now part of a new club here at the radio ranch.  They are going to have their town immortalized in song (for better or for worse)  for Your Town Thursday !

I guess it's unanimous.  I've had a lot of calls for this, so I'm taking on the challenge.  Mechanicville, New York is next up to get it's very own custom written song on Your Town Thursday on the Sean and Richie Show!

Did you know that there's a diference between Galway the village and Galway the town? Did you know that there are only about 200 people there?   That's so great!!  The things you learn when research the towns, villages, hamlets and cities in our area for Your Town Thursday!  I love this job!

Congratulations, Cambridge!  You now have a song that you can sing along to!  I just wish we had some more pictures of your wonderful town to add to this blog (hint hint).  But be that as it may, let's get on with the song!

I've had a great time sharpening up my jingle writing skills by creating theme songs for small towns.  This will be my last one for the year!  Now all I need is a town and some facts (and photos if you've got them!)
