How Should We Mark The Anniversary Of 9/11?

This is always a dilemma of sorts for me. Tomorrow will mark the 11th anniversary of the tragedy at the World Trade Center. Clearly it is the single most upsetting tragedy that we as Americans have faced in decades and I'm sure that media outlets throughout the country will be doing different things to observe the date.

The year after the tragic events on September 11, 2001 I wrote and read on the air my thoughts on remembering that day. I still believe as we mark the tenth anniversary of that day , that these words still ring true, in some ways I think they are even more meaningful all these years later because none of us can get that day or its horrible memories out of our consciousness
