Sunday, July 15, 2012 WGNA will help kick-off the annual summer tradition of thoroughbred horse racing at Saratoga Race Course with the 'Open House.' The free summer event raises nearly $15,000 every year for local not-for-profit groups through the sale of food and beverages.
Lately I've had several opportunities to speak at local Rotary Clubs. I've spoken at the Latham and Cohoes clubs, and met some very nice folks. I thought I'd spread the word about some of the good things that they do in the area. Let's give them some props, peeps.
It's close to that time of year when the county fairs start coming into town. I always enjoy the fairs for some great rides, games and all the great fair food. But what I think I enjoy the most is the great country music you can enjoy whether it be local or national acts.
