This was a first for me.  I've had this in my head for a long time.  Let's write a song with a small group in 1 hour (as usual), then have an assembly program later on where they sing their creation for the entire school (with everyone in the auditorium singing along!)  This was my trial run...

Why do I continue to run out the door of the radio station once a week and visit schools?  Just listen to this song and you'll know why.

I have no words right now. I'm fresh out of them. All of them were used on the air with our special guest, country superstar Hunter Hayes.  I had a chance to sing and play a song that you folks had a part in. This was a star-studded "Write A Song Wednesday."

We're coming up on ALMOST 20 years of doing this program, and it has to rank as the most rewarding thing I've ever done (besides morning radio, of course).  You too can be a part of this experience.

Actor Matthew McConaughey made this bold statement at a recent Red Sox game.  He said, and I quote, "Im not afraid of my fanny pack".  Well our listeners weren't afraid to make a song out of this for this edition of Write a Song Wednesday

Just trying to switch things up a bit here, folks.  For a long time I have been writing about local towns in the Capital Region.  Well, I started running out of towns, to be honest.  So we have a new  feature that we're excited about.

We had a very uncomfortable time on a recent flight.  It stunk, frankly.  Really really stunk.  Here is my story in song parody form….

The Lunch, Learn and Play program is a summer camp located in beautiful Salem, New York.  I had the pleasure of taking a trip up there for the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour, and I certainly wasn't disappointed by the outcome!

Golfin' ain't my cup of tea.  Each time, it's a catastrophe.  Hey - that rhymes! Maybe I can make a song out of that to promote the Sean and Richie Golf Tournament this coming Friday.  Are you going?

This is the time that the Hillside Summer Camp in Niskayuna reserved for "Mismatch Day", where  happy campers adorn themselves with- you guessed it- clothes that don't go together. (Wow, a group after my own heart!)

I was at the Bethlehem YMCA for the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour, brought to you by….(insert sponsor's name here - we don't have one right now -hint hint) .  Anyway, this was a great chance to meet a bunch of real "Champs"

True confessions: this song comes out of my archives. I wrote this several moons ago, but I think it still holds up in light of news I just saw today about wealth.
