A popular Chinese restaurant in Saratoga County has closed for good after twenty-six years in the community. The owners decided to retire.

My cousin Mike, or as many in the North Colonie community know him as Coach Cavotta has retired from Shaker after teaching and coaching there for the past thirty years. He is not only going to be remembered for the thousands of students he has impacted but he also created his own sport called Cavotta Ball.

I can only imagine what was going through this officer's mind as he listened to a radio call congratulating him on his retirement.  I got choked up watching the video as it seemed like the perfect way to send off a proud man who gave his city - and his community - so much.

TV news anchor Elisa Streeter has spent 30 years on the air and in our homes at News 10 ABC.  When she announced recently that she's set to retire at the end of the year, I was happy for her, but sad for us.  Streeter is a personal favorite of mine, and surely will be missed.
