94 year old Gordon Yeager and his wife, 90 year old Norma lived in Des Moines, Iowa. Last Wednesday they were involved in a car accident when Gordon accidentally pulled out in front of an oncoming car.
They both survived the accident initially, but died later that afternoon.
I have to admit, this was a super fun dilemma today. Our listener wrote in to say he lives downstairs from a young couple who had moved into the two family house he lives in and he can hear them in their most intimate of moments.
Today we tacked an age old problem with relationships, the man's roving eyes. This girl who wrote in seems pretty confident in herself, but still gets very upset with her boyfriend who likes to point out other womenfolk's "attributes" in public.
Today's e mail was from a woman who wasn't sure she would actually know right away if she met the right guy. Her friend's told her she would, and she was wondering if it is always like that, or were there some couples who kind of grew on each other
Sometimes it's hard to figure out how to meet people of the opposite sex. Our "Daily Dilemma" deals with that problem. A young man writes in and asks for help in over coming his shyness. He said he is good in groups and even gets compliments on being funny and cute, but when he is one on one with a girl, he just doesn't know what to do.
Today's daily dilemma came to us from what I assume to be a young man in a serious relationship of two years. He wrote that he loves her very much but was feeling smothered a bit because they were always together. The big question from him was, can he set new boundaries in their relationship after two years, or after all this time would she feel insecure about his need to alone sometimes.
Some lawmakers in Mexico City are considering amending marriage laws to allow for an initial two-year marriage term that can be renewed if the couple stays together. If they don’t, they can separate with no official divorce needed.
I have been thinking that I'd love to have a segment on the show called "The Daily Dilemma". An open forum where the listeners can call in and give their opinions on a strangers dilemma or question. The nice thing about this is, that usually if one person is thinking about it, odds are many others are as well. The problem that I have is making sure I have enough "dilemmas" to have a new one each day. I know for a fact they are out there but sometimes they are hard to find. Here is where I could use your help. (And I know how much you love to help my friends.)
You've heard bizarre stories of stalkers. It can be terrible. Sometimes people stalk online, other times in person. There's also phone stalkers. People that taunt others day and nite, day and nite. This lady however might have just made the Guinness Book of World Records
