There is nothing I can think of that would be more hurtful than getting a "no" when you propose marriage to someone. That is why it always amazes me when some idiot pops the question when he is not 100% sure he is going to get a yes. Add to that, doing it in public or on video is just plain stupid. So, why would these guys do this?
At some point I guess everyone has to to deal with people they just can't seem to get along with at work. In this scenario, the writer feels that he made a valid attempt to make a working relationship with one of those people and feels like he got stabbed in the back for it. I cant imagine how mad that would make me, or what I would do about it.
This is a question that the answer to, gets more and more complicated as the generations pass. There was a time the male in a relationship made most of the money and women were left with less opportunity to have her own money. As the years went on women began to make more and had both an ability to help with the household's expenses and even save some of it themselves. Now it has even come full circle in some cases, many women today make more money than their husbands and/or boyfriends and the question of who gets or keeps what has become a little more complicated.
Everyone need a friend from time to time, and I like to be there for someone who needs a shoulder as much as anyone. This isn't the situation in today's dilemma, what we are talking about here is that friend I think most of us have or have had in our lives. You adore them but sometimes you just cant deal with all the drama, and you more than 50% of the time let her go to voice mail.
Today's dilemma sure got a lot of attention, at the time of me writing this, about four hours have past since we talked about this on the air and posted it on our WGNA Facebook page. There are already about 90 comments on that page. Just goes to show you , family is still king. So, what in the world is everyone making all the fuss about?
Wow, here was another dilemma that I didn't know was so important to the people it applies to. I guess I understand how one could feel overlooked a bit if they share their birthday with Jesus. I just don't understand the difference between one gift worth say, $100 or two gifts worth $50 each.
This dilemma I'm sure seems a little crazy to some people, I have to admit though I have been a victim of this scenario myself. I said on the air that I suspect that in some ways women trust their intuition so much that they may actually wonder if their dreams are trying to tell them something they don't want to look at in waking life.
