Once again, YOU and the Capital Region stepped up BIG TIME to fight childhood cancer!

Day 1 of WGNA's 12th Annual Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon is a wrap, and YOU made it amazing!

I had the opportunity to go to Memphis back in January to visit St. Jude. It's truly unlike anything else. You know walking in what it is in simple definition: a hospital. But, that's not what it feels like. What they do in that facility is truly amazing. They have simply thought of everything to make that experience, the cancer experience a less frightening experience for the children and familie

Everyone is touched by cancer in some way during our lives. I grew up knowing about it at a very early age. I was only 7 years old when my Grandmother was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I watched everything she had to go through, well, as much as a 7 year old gets exposed to. I watched her unable to eat.

St. Jude is one of those facilities that continues to make outstanding work for cancer research. The GNA 12th Annual Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon kicks off tomorrow and we need your help. But good deeds don't go unnoticed in the world of country music.

WGNA wants to help St. Jude get as many "Partners in Hope" as possible, which is why we're offering up tickets to the next Secret Star Jam to randomly selected "Partners" Friday night.

While we’re on the air with the ninth annual Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon, I know that the WGNA listeners will answer the call.

It has been a whirlwind two days for all of us at 1-0-7-7 GNA, as we helped the wonderful people of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital with the Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon, 2013.

Yesterday was a great day.  Today is a little bit of a struggle, to be honest with you.  We are looking for your phone calls and Partner In Hope pledges

We have an army of volunteers who have invaded the GNA studios in Schenectady, and we welcome them because it's all for a great cause - our annual St. Jude Radiothon to help raise money for a cause near and dear to our hearts.
