Here is a warning for parents who are going to The Crossings in Colonie. There have been reports of a creeper near one of the playgrounds.

Let the building begin! The first all-inclusive sensory-friendly playground has started to be built in Amsterdam and it will be the first of its kind. The community knows there is a need for a state-of-the-art playground like this one that helps kids both with and without disabilities.

There is another beautiful park being built in Clifton Park. The thirty-seven acres were purchased from the Shenendehowa Central School District back in 2017. Now the new park will begin construction.

It has been a long time in the making but as of Saturday, Troy has a new park on Seventh Avenue in the North Central neighborhood. It has everything including something to keep the kids cool during the hot summer months. It has two basketball courts, playground equipment, a pavilion, new fencing, bathrooms, and a splash pad.

Think back to some of your favorite things when you were a kid. Don't you think the stuff we had was more unsafe than kids have now?

If you are looking to throw away old sneakers, there is a perfect place to donate them. It doesn't matter how tattered and worn they are. They will go towards helping a local school.

They are putting the finishing touches on a playground in Colonie that will allow children with and without special needs to enjoy. The community has been working on the project for three years and next summer it will open.

I really don't understand why people do the things they do. When I saw this story, I wonder how we, as a society, got to be so cruel. I guess now I have to inspect the playground before I can let my kid play on it. Really? What do these jerks possibly have to gain from this kind of behavior? It's sad.

When I was a kid, we went to the Saratoga Race Course a lot. We would get all dressed up and go early to do breakfast with my sisters, my mom and my grandmother. Then we would stay for the day and wander around and watch the races. There wasn't much for us to do at the track as kids but now they have made it a priority for kids to have fun.

When I think of my childhood, I think of taking walks to Central Park and playing on the playground. I think of chasing the ducks past Iroquois Lake, running up and down the hill. Imagine my surprise when I went to the playground and there was nothing there.
