I love when a company finds a way to both advertise their product and truly entertain us with a commercial that makes us laugh, cry, or think. Imagine if they all took the time to really try to make their commercials a little more meaningful. Usually these sort of commercials are reserved for the Superbowl or some other highly rated "television event", in this case it's just McDonald's latest ad.
If you have kids that love SpongeBob Squarepants as much as mine does, tonight may be a great night to take in a baseball game at Joe Bruno Stadium. The Tri-City ValleyCats are having a Nickelodeon themed night tonight when they take on the Vermont Lake Monsters.
This one is important. Recently, I decided to share with you some posts that I had written years ago that you may have missed when I first wrote them. This one was very popular and shared many times. I think that may because it was so very true and very personal.
Well it looks like the weather this weekend is going to be a bit touch and go so you may be looking for something fun to do with the kids. So what can you do if you can't count on it to be dry or warm outside? If you are like me you would prefer that these things be inside, affordable and at least a little educational, I found a few different places that have something a little special going on that just may fit the bill.
Today on the Sean and Bethany Show we shared some recipes from some 5 and 6 year old local kids. My son brought this "Kindergarten Cookbook" home the other day and it just cracked me up. It comes from Miss Maria at ABC Daycare in Clifton Park and it was sort of a Mother's Day present from the kids.
"The young people today just don't care about anyone but themselves. These kids have a sense of entitlement that will bring the country to it's knees." These are the kind of comments you see these days about our youth. I'm not here to argue the merits of such statements, but I would say that if you want to see good in the world you just have to look for it. Unfortunately it can be hard to find some days so I figured when I saw this story , even though it's not world changing, I would share it.
I had to use one of those awful titles you see on blogs these days because well, it seemed to fit the situation. Even though this video is of me and my son, Caden I have to believe it's as funny as any of the viral kid videos these days, even I can't believe the ending.
I have to admit before WGNA'S Secret Star Acoustic Jam I thought Michael Ray was a pretty good new country artist, after hearing him sing live I was very impressed and thought this guy is the real deal. Besides performing his songs he did a version of "Forever And Ever Amen" by Randy Travis that just blew me away. If you were there you know what I'm talking about , I'm sure Michael made a lot of new fans that night. What everyone else didn't see was Michael doing something really sweet for my son Caden, a gesture I wont soon forget.
