When you’ve been doing something as long as Kenny Rogers has been making music, the milestones are bound to pile up — and sure enough, this holiday season will mark an auspicious anniversary for the country legend.
When Rogers embarks on his annual Christmas and Hits tour this November 25, it’ll mark his 30th straight year of heading out on the road to bring holiday cheer to fans. Billy Dean will join Rogers for the 17-date run, which concludes December 23.

I’ve been in Country Radio for 25 years, and I’ve seen it all. However, on Tuesday, March 15, I had the rare chance to observe Country Music Legend Kenny Rogers and his staff, behind the scenes on his recent media tour of New York.
Last April I had the chance to attend an unforgettable night with a diverse list of singers and stars. The event was the television taping to celebrate Kenny Rogers' 50 Years in music at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut. As someone who respects the career of this legend, it was an honor just to see Kenny in person. Then, when you add in the special guests who lit up the stage song after song, I knew I was a part of a once in a lifetime event.
Since the 2011 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees have been announced, I've talked with several people about who should be next after Reba, Jean Shepard and songwriter Bobby Braddock. Here is my list of the top 10 legends who should be in the Country Music Hall Of Fame.
