"The world will forget about this little girl in one week." That is a quote I read today while getting myself updated on little Safyre Terry. At first, I thought that this may actually be a sad truth and then I realized that not only is it not true, but I also realized that there is nothing sad about this story or this beautiful little girl.

Everyone loves it when a superstar surprises a fan with something special and this a great example of doing just the right thing, for just the right person. This story has been going viral on the internet  today and rightfully so. It actually amazes me that this is something that so rarely happens that so many are so shocked that it happened. Yet I am so glad that it did. Having witnessed first hand how hard being a step parent can be, this truly warms my heart today.

Ronnie Toler, a 66 year old veteran passed away last month in Dickson Tennessee. His service was not completely clear but it was known that he served overseas in the 70's and received a National Defense Service Medal. The rehab center where he was however could not find any family for Ronnie in the area so a local funeral home stepped up to make sure he had a proper burial with full military honor

This little 6 year old's name is Tiana. I am not so sure she is really 6 years old though, from the way she speaks and her message , I think she may be 96. I have to tell you I have always found that children have the most to teach us, and she proves it. All you have to do is look past the simplicity of the language and into the incredible depths of the message.

This is an incredible story. I can't help but wonder how many of us have ever listened to the people who are always telling us what we can't do. Thank the Lord we have people in this world who remind us not to ever listen to naysayers. Kris Silbaugh, a high school senior in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, is one of those people.
