Well, we have a listener who took it one step further with a slide show to go with the audio, and posted it on You Tube. Her name is Wendy Irish O'Shea, and she did a fantastic job with it. Thank you so much Wendy.

With the Sean and Richie Show raising much needed funds for the Red Cross and our friends and neighbors who suffered many losses due to Hurricane Irene,

Brantley Gilbert's latest hit "Country Must Be Country Wide" describes how Country folks are raised to help - it's not where you live, you're not raised to take, but raised to give; giving the shirt off your back to help anyone in need. With that thought in mind, Governor Cuomo has launched a Labor Day weekend effort to tap into the good neighbor instincts of New Yorkers and rally volunteers to pitch in on local clean-ups of public and private property following the devastation of Hurricane Irene.

(UPDATE at 6:30 a.m.) We have some new information from our friends at WNYT - They will keep the Loads of Hope at the Cobleskill Walmart for a few more days. it will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the aftermath of the floods caused by Irene it's easy to forget some of the things we do everyday and take for granted. Like putting on clean clothes and going about our daily tasks. Imagine if you had to go to work in dirty clothes. I know the people of this area and I know you would overcome no matter what but in times like these anything that could help us feel "normal" is needed.

Now think of what you could do to help people. I'm saying what particular skill or ability do you have that could help someone in trouble? Tide and Duracell asked themselves the same question and came up with "Tide Loads of Hope" and "Duracell Power Relief".
