Niche.com strikes again. Recently I blogged about a list of New York towns that were great to raise your family in, and the Capital Region didn't fair as well as I would have expected. We all know there are some wonderful communities around here to raise your kids...

You don't think anything of it when your kids come home from school and tells you they had a fire drill at school.  You don't think twice anymore about an "emergency go-home" drill, or even a "lock-down" drill.  But as of late, schools around the country have been conducting active "shooter" drills...

The last of the major networks has announce it's Fall Line up (sorry CW). CBS has a interesting list of shows including a Sherlock Holmes show starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.
