Nascar is enjoying a well earned weekend off. The chase for the Sprint Cup Championship will resume next Sunday at the Brickyard in Indianapolis.
Yesterday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. won his first race in 4 years at the same location as his last victory at Michigan International Speedway.
Darlington is a historic track and is nicknamed "the lady in black". Nascar drivers in the Sprint Cup would love to notch a win at Darlington and have it on their resume. It's the Bojangles Southern 500 and under the lights Saturday night at 6:30pm.
NASCAR is in Alabama this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The 2.66 mile speedway is the largest oval that the Sprint Cup Series drivers tackle and Dale Earnhardt Jr. has five wins there. But it's been a long time since Junior has won.
