I live near the area where a young girl who was crossing the street last year, in the crosswalk, was struck and killed. It was a horribly sad story and now lawmakers, the DOT and Cohoes are all doing their part to make it safer for all.
On May 24, Borziloke Zakolli was struck by a car and killed while crossing Central Avenue in Colonie. On June 16, Brittany Knight was struck by a car and killed while crossing intersection of Bridge Avenue on 787. With tragedy comes change.
