I remember listening to James Wesley's first single "Real" and how much it hit me. The song was powerful and made me think, and the way James Wesley sang it just made it perfect. James has a new hit out now.

Sunny Sweeney is a very talented young lady and records her music on Republic Nashville Records. Her first national debut was the smash hit "From A Table Away".

Mike Eli is a talented singer with a voice that makes you listen. He sound a lot like a gritty Vince Gill. The last time I saw Mike and the Eli Young Band he had just closed on a house in Texas.

Randy Houser has been writing great songs for years. He teamed up with Jamey Johnson for the #1 hit from Trace Adkins "Honkytonkbadonkadonk". He's now a full blown artist and writer and on the verge of busting into the big time and you'll see why when he takes the stage at WGNA Countryfest 2011.

This is what happens when you are sleep deprived.  Major mistakes can happen.  Not good when you are on the air on a huge Country radio station.  And even worse when you are in front of a live audience AND on the air AND on the internet at the same time.   Let's go to the audio tape...

Warner Brothers music is a pretty happy place these days, especially when it comes to the country division of the label in Nashville.

WGNA announced our Countryfest 2011 lineup this morning and it is 6 deep. In order of of performance we will have Joanna Smith, Brett Eldredge,Sunny Sweeney, Chris Cagle, Randy Houser and Miranda Lambert.

This guy has the right idea! He's setting his clocks so that he'll be ready for the WGNA Countryfest 2011 announcement tomorrow  morning at 6am.  Jake, who's coming to Countryfest?

As I read the news about the American military commitment in Libya as part of the coalition, I am finding myself proud of our U.S. Armed Services. I always have been and always will be.
