It's a peculiar area because even though Oreshan Farm has been there for years, housing developments around it have been booming. There are plans to build more housing at that farm, but a lawsuit says, "not so fast".

With a new restaurant opening in Halfmoon, a neighborhood bar has closed its doors after 90 years. Joe's Tavern, which has been a staple at 16 Division Street in Cohoes for nearly nine decades just shut down. There is hope that someone will buy it and reopen but since February 18th, it is closed.

John Gillie, a native of Cohoes, is hoping to bring 200 plus jobs back to his hometown. He wants to make electric vehicles in a new factory on Grand Island.

There is a legendary bar and restaurant that used to be the hangout for Albany County Democrats and is known for its beautiful 50-foot long mahogany bar. Smith's has been in existence since 1937 but was closed in 2020 due to the pandemic. Now it has new owners.

There are plans to bring a restaurant to a vacant building on Route 9 in Halfmoon that has been empty for quite a long time. It is a building that was once a meeting place for NXIVM. This was a cult that had headquarters in the Albany area and the heads of NXIVM lived in Halfmoon.

It seems residents on a Cohoes street have new furry neighbors living in an abandoned house. The house has been vacant for some time with no one stirring until recently. They say that foxes have decided to call the property home with one neighbor, Ted Conlon even witnessed a fox near the windows and others laying in the sun on the roof.
