If you see people repelling down the Crowne Plaza building in downtown Albany it's all for a good cause - "Over The Edge" and it all benefits Special Olympics New York. If heights aren't your thing there are ways you can participate by sponsoring one of the repelling participants. When we were broadcasting at the Crossgates Mall raising money to help the victims of the recent flooding here in the Capital District a listener came up to me and asked if she could talk to the "Coupon Lady"
First and foremost we have to say THANK YOU to you, our dedicated and incredibly generous listeners. Without your dedication and support we would have never raised the $30,000 (and counting) for the Red Cross to use to help out victims of Irene in the Albany area and surrounding communities.
We need to start off by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous as we're collecting money for the Red Cross to help area victims of Irene. We always know we can count on our listeners to lend a hand when someone needs help and you've sure come through for us!
