According to a Boston tv station - My Fox Boston, and through our friends at Fox 23 News, State police have confirmed that Matthew Slocum is in custody and that his girlfriend and 4-month-old baby are safe.

UPDATE @ 6:40 p.m. - From Fox23 News, the vehicle in the AMBER Alert has been located in New Hampshire, but the child, mother and suspect have not. Keep checking back here as we will keep you updated as we get more information.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department has activated the NY AMBER Alert system and has confirmed a child has been abducted from a home on Turnpike Road in White Creek around 4AM this morning. Police are searching for a suspect, Matthew A. Slocum - description of the suspect and child after the jump.
