There have been a lot of great bands in the world of country music over the years and for many of you you may find it hard to narrow it down to five. I actually started this list with eight and then worked it down to five, and I hope you agree with some or all of my choices below.
As I look over the list of the 2011 CMA award nominees, I notice that George Strait's name is missing from the list. Ever since I started in Country Radio, in 1986, his name has appeared every year as a nominee in some category.
Time to get ready for a three day weekend and it's time once again for another blast from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday.
