When I was younger, my favorite thing to do was to watch Game Show Network at my Grandma's house. I'd get home from school and it'd be the first channel I'd go to, my favorite was always Supermarket Sweep.

Who knew something as mundane as shopping in a supermarket could become a famous game show? The way it worked, the contestants would play games and solve riddles to get shopping time. Then, at the end, they would use that shopping time to get as many expensive items as they could. The team who spent the most money in their time won!

Freemantle Media, known for America's Got Talent and American Idol, announced they're bringing back the iconic game show. Technically no network has picked the show up yet but it will be presented to networks at MIPCOM with hopes that we'll see this show on the air sooner rather than later. They brought back Match Game and Family Feud is still doing well, why couldn't Supermarket Sweep be next?
