If you plan on going out these next few night be extra careful if you plan to have a few drinks with friends.  Police will be out in force patrolling for drunk drivers with the Albany County's Sherriff's office 89th Stop-DWI blanket patrol.

According to the Times Union, The Blanket patrol with start tonight at 5, which makes sense with the Alive At Five and parties afterwards, and will last until 5 am on Saturday.

So If you do plan on going out tonight or tomorrow make sure you have a designated driver if you plan on drinking or make sure to call a cab if you don't have a DD. Even if there wasn't a blanket patrol, you should do that anyway. Be safe out there, have fun and drink responsibly!
