Every thursday here on WGNA FM we feature "Pet Connection" with Steve Caporizzo from News 10.  I thought it would be great if I also featured the pets in a follow up blog. So let's see today's featured pets.

HAZEL is a 3 yr old spayed female Border Collie mix.  She is a loyal, loving, smart and pretty companion, who has taken obedience and agility training and done well in both. Hazel can take a little time to warm up to strange dogs or people but once she feels comfortable she is just fine.  Loves to play with dogs she knows.  Hazel is good on a leash and enjoys car rides, too.  Due to her herding tendencies she will be placed in a home with older or no children.

FALSTAFF is an 8 yr old neutered male Great Pyrenees, at 140 lbs he is the epitome of the phrase "gentle giant."  He was brought into a NYC shelter by his owners to be euthanized, but Falstaff has received lots of medical care and is now doing very well. He loves the children and the dogs in his foster home, and of course enjoys brushing and other forms of TLC.
