With the winter storm that hit the Albany area and most of New York State, Governor Andrew Cuomo has declared a state of emergency for the state of New York.

This is currently in effect. In the story from News 10 ABC, he’s suggesting that people should stay inside their homes until the conditions improve and the worst of the storm has passed.

Vehicles are restricted from traveling on New York roads, unless it’s absolutely necessary during the emergency. This is to help crews in their efforts to clear the roads, and to also keep the roads open for emergency vehicles.
