Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom has been a part of all of our childhoods for a very long time. Now, as of 2019, we won't be calling it that anymore.

First, it was Storytown, then Great Escape, then Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom, then it was bought by Six Flags and now, we have a new name to prepare ourselves for. As of 2019, Splashwater Kingdom will call itself Hurricane Harbor, according to LakeGeorge.com.

Along with the name-change, they will have a 14,000 square foot expansion that includes more seating areas with better shading, a new colorful tropical theme, a new food location, and two new water attractions called Bucket Blasters and Shipwreck Cove. LakeGeorge.com details the rides saying, "Guests will have a blast spinning in Bucket Blasters’ water barrels, each one equipped with water guns to splash friends and bystanders. Shipwreck Cove will feature an activity pool with water sprays, geysers, and fountains."

Chrissy also announced last week that through Labor Day weekend, you had a chance to save over 70% off on your 2019 Season Pass during the Flash Sale. Because of the computer complications, they have announced that they're extending their flash sale through 11:59 PM Tuesday, September 4th.
